love works #3 [rhapsody]

It's time to show you some of my newest works! I've been working on Flash lately, to rust off my skills and learn some new techniques. I'm also improving my CV that will be done (almost) entirely on this program. Any comments are appreciated!

This first one is in Portuguese, I made it for a job interview and it will be later integrated in my CV animation. I tried to associate colours to my personality, they are: violet for passionated (just like passion fruit), yellow for optimistic, dark blue for creative, red orange for ambitious, greyish blue for dreamer (is the colour of The Venus Project), pink for solidary, white for persistent and black for perfectionist. I've watched this a thousand times and I still laugh like the first one. Abbot and Costello are genius!

 


Another kinetic typographic work, now with my favourite quote form my favourite movie: The Devil's advocate and with my favourite actor: Al Pacino. I watched the movie more times that I'm willing to admit. 

 

Do you want to know what I love about kinetic typographic works? When they're well done they enhance the qualities of what they're quoting. It's a marvellous thing to watch.

The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) exists for over 250 years and encourages enlightenment, ideas and debate in which we all can, and should, participate.

They have an account on You Tube with some fun and instructive videos, the last one is about the internet on society, but they talk about everything: language, education, economics...

laziness

I'm so lazy today! I had an exam of politics this morning and I studied so much that I don't want to hear anything about work in the next hours. But I have some really cool stuff to show you.

Look at this amazing advertising from XBOX promoting the Need For Speed - Carbon game (my favourite one is actually the NFS- Most Wanted <Black Edition>). It's clever and knows how to use the surroundings for it's own benefit:

This is a beautiful animation about typography. It shows us the possibilities of text: we only need to be open-minded and creative.

Make it better was directed by Climent Canal and the animation is from Sebastián Baptista. He's Uruguayan, but living in London, and has a great talent.
